Winter hike Gauertal

Three altitudes – one living culture: winter hiking through history.

Over an altitude difference of almost 400 metres, you will hike all three altitudes of the three-stage farming system and learn lots of interesting facts about this very special form of agricultural use in the Montafon. The route leads from the starting point of Latschau across the centuries-old, snow-covered Maisäß landscape with views of the Drei Türme into the Gauertal valley.

Meeting point: 10:30 am busstation Golmerbahn Latschau

Route: Depending on the weather and snow situation

Duration: approx. 4 hours (pure walking time: approx. 3 hours)

The hike will proceed no matter what the weather. In case of any changes, the guests will be informed directly by the hiking guide in good time.

The hiking guides reserve the right to change the programme if necessary for reasons such as poor conditions, avalanche danger etc. or lack of fitness of the participants.
